Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 7-10 or more years of previous work experience as a cost controller or similar role.
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. or a related field.
- Additional qualifications might include an advanced accounting degree (e.g., Master in the related field, Master of Business Administration)
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures and legislation
- experience with accounting financial statements
- Good knowledge of accounting software
- Must be able to travel
- Display exemplary ethical behavior when working with confidential documents.
- Effective data trending, document control, and technical skills
- Awareness of the industry’s latest technology trends and applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members.
- Organizational and leadership skills
- Advanced experience with ( ERP - Microsoft Excel)
- Strong problem-solving, training, team-building, and mentoring abilities
- language skills: English, Kurdish in advance
- Able to work under pressure or meet tight deadlines
Tasks, responsibilities, and accountabilities
- Follow up the material flows from the warehouses to the centers and determine the cost
- Follow up the balances of materials at cost for each store and center
- Preparing a monthly materials cost report
- Calculating direct and indirect material costs
- Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
- Arranging with department heads to strategize ways to minimize waste
- Document, monitor and update controlling policies
- Review quarterly and annual budgets for all departments
- Analyze costs and profits
- Set and track financial KPIs
- Build risk assessment models to evaluate investments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems
- Perform internal audits and assist with external audits
