Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate risks across all business units, including credit, operational, market, and liquidity risks.
• Conduct risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate the bank’s risk exposure.
• Monitor internal and external risk factors that may impact the bank’s financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulations issued by the Central Bank of Iraq and other relevant authorities.
• Report regularly to senior management and the board on risk exposures, mitigation measures, and emerging risks.
• Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and other departments to maintain an effective internal control system.
• Support the development of risk awareness across the organization through training and workshops.
• Develop contingency plans and ensure the bank’s business continuity strategy is updated and tested.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a banking or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Iraqi banking regulations and international risk management standards (e.g., Basel III).
• Proficiency in risk modeling, financial analysis, and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
