TRS Technician -Power Tong Operator job opportunity in Basra

Key Responsibilities:

-Set up, operate, and maintain hydraulic power tongs, backup tongs, and associated TRS equipment.
-Perform tubular running services, including make-up and break-out of casing and tubing connections on the rig floor.
-Ensure correct torque values are applied using torque-turn monitoring systems (e.g., JAM, CRT, TTS).
-Conduct pre-job inspections, equipment function tests, and rig-up/down procedures according to HSE and operational standards.
-Coordinate with rig crew and company representatives to ensure accurate and efficient TRS operations.
-Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hydraulic systems, power tongs, and control units in the field.
-Follow all company and client safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and participation in toolbox talks and JSA meetings.

Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in TRS operations, with a minimum of 1 year specifically operating power tongs.
-Strong knowledge of tubular connections , rig specifications, and handling practices.
-H2S, Basic safety or relevant oilfield training certificate.
