Presales Engineer

PRE-SALES RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop IT Solutions designs based on customer specific requirements.
• Liaise with Product Managers & Vendors for solutions technologies and design validation.
• Propose suitable low current system designs (e.g., CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems) that meet customer specifications while ensuring they fit the project scope and budget.
• Work closely with sales teams and clients to understand their technical requirements and operational needs.
• Create company financial proposals and assist in preparing accurate cost estimates.
• Present technical solutions to customers.
• Respond to tenders and bids.
• Generate quotations and provide best price/value for required solutions.
• Handle orders and in-hand projects:
o Place orders with distributors or vendors and ensure on-time delivery
o Prepare purchase orders (POs), Sales orders (SOs) for in specific projects and order delivery
o Follow up stock items and track invoicing
SALES & TECHNICAL SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate with sales and technical team to design best client-focused solutions based on clients’ inquiries.
• Assist the Sales team and the Professional Services team with requests for quotations, information, and recommend best options.
• Contact customers (through meetings with account managers or phone call) for technical information gathering or solutions support.
• Communicate the role and value of the proposed solution to the customer.
• Deliver solution presentations upon request.
SELF-DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Acquire latest technology updates by attending trainings, webinars and reading latest technical white papers.
• Participate in vendor training to develop skills and knowledge of existing and new products.
• Handle and specialize in two or more Vendor products (Licensing / support).
DISTRIBUTORS & VENDORS RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop deep knowledge in assigned products and general knowledge in all other products in Bahr Al Amwaj products.
• Follow up Vendor relationships: Partnership level, pipeline, incentives, promos and marketing activities.
REQUIREMENTS
• Strong understanding of low current systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, access control, public address, and Intrusion systems.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to propose optimized technical solutions.
• Understanding of the sales process.

• Engineering degree (Electrical, Electronics, or similar fields) with minimum 3 years experience in low current systems.
