Role Summary:
The HR Manager will lead the end-to-end human resources function in Iraq, ensuring alignment with business goals while maintaining compliance with local labor laws. This role will drive talent strategy, employee engagement, performance management, and operational HR excellence in a complex and dynamic market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnering:
•Act as a strategic HR partner to business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness
•Align HR initiatives with business objectives and workforce planning
•Support leadership in change management and organizational design
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
•Lead recruitment efforts for all levels across Iraq
•Develop talent pipelines and hiring strategies for critical roles
•Ensure a strong employer brand in the local market
3. Employee Relations & Engagement:
•Manage employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
•Drive employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
•Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
4. Performance & Talent Management:
•Implement and manage performance management frameworks
•Identify high-potential talent and succession planning
•Support learning and development initiatives
5. Compensation & Benefits:
• Ensure competitive and compliant compensation structures
• Manage payroll coordination and benefits administration
• Conduct salary benchmarking and cost optimization
6. Compliance & Governance:
• Ensure compliance with Iraq labor laws and regulations
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation
• Manage audits, legal matters, and risk mitigation
7. HR Operations:
• Oversee HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, and employee
records
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in HR systems and reporting
• Drive process improvements and automation where possible
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 8–12 years of HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role
• Experience working in Iraq or Middle East markets preferred
• Strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices
