Job Purpose:

Enabling the success of students and helping in academic achievement to reach their potential through the implementation of the SABIS® curriculum and philosophy and through the consistent use of the SABIS® teaching methodology

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching using the provided lesson plans according to the SABIS point system
• Marking of exams related to the subject matter.
• Coordinating students’ performance (academic and disciplinary) to head of department (as needed).
• Planning a balanced music program according to students’ age group
• Evaluate students’ progress
• Maintain and take responsibility for school-owned instruments and/or equipment and ensure students to the same
• Implementing the SABIS point system to ensure an environment of learning in the classroom.
• Cooperation with other departments in providing musical programs, events etc.
• Providing support in other departments, when necessary.
• Preparing and participating in activity plans for student life related events
• Performing related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school management 
• Preparing at least 1 show every term. 

 

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related subject matter and/or equivalent
• Excellent proficiency in English
• Knowledge in using Microsoft Office
• Communication skills
• Previous proven experience in teaching children
• Knowledge in a wide range of musical instruments
• Ability to work within a team
