The International School of Choueifat is looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in an educational environment for the teaching assistant position at the lower primary level. This individual will be the main supporter in helping the homeroom teacher and looking after the children.

Brief Job description:

• Assist classroom teacher in performing specific duties as assigned.
• Supervise students while the teacher is conducting a class.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Help maintain order in the classroom; monitor students and help them complete their tasks.
• Perform a variety of office assistance tasks such as photocopying, filing, etc. as required.
• Prepare the classroom and all necessary equipment before the students arrive.
• Ensure that all students are following along and have the correct material before them.
• Attend weekly and/or monthly team meetings.
• Assist the students in their daily cleaning duties (e.g. desk cleanliness).
• Proactively contribute to the nurturing, supportive, and rich environment of the kindergarten/school through willing participation in school-related activities.

Ideal Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent.
• English is a must, Arabic and/or Kurdish are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Must be female.
• Must have previous experience with children.
