Key Responsibilities:
- Core Banking System Management:
- Utilize and manage core banking systems (BANKS) for international transfer operations.
- Ensure system integrity and accuracy in processing transactions.
- SWIFT System and Processes:
- Oversee SWIFT system operations, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Manage SWIFT message formats (MT and MX) and ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Implement and maintain SWIFT connectivity, including SWIFT Net Link and Alliance Gateway.
- Monitor SWIFT traffic and troubleshoot any issues related to message transmission.
- Ensure compliance with SWIFT security protocols and standards, including the Customer Security Programmer (CSP).
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of SWIFT operations to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Follow up on inward and outward transfers, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Accounting and Transfer Operations:
- Handle accounting postings related to international transfers.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage transfer operations, including foreign exchange transactions and cross-border payments.
- CBI Transfers Portal Management:
- Oversee the operations of the CBI transfers portal.
- Manage and coordinate the portal teams to ensure efficient processing of transfers.
- Ensure compliance with CBI regulations and guidelines.
- Correspondent Banks Management:
- Monitor and manage relationships with correspondent banks.
- Ensure compliance with correspondent banks' requirements and standards.
- Address and resolve queries from correspondent banks in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of correspondent banking practices and regulations.
- Process Management:
- Develop and implement efficient processes for international transfers.
- Monitor and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all processes comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Team Management:
- Lead and manage the international transfer department team.
- Provide training and support to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of core banking systems (BANKS) and SWIFT systems.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and transfer operations.
- Experience in managing teams and processes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in Arabic and English.
- Experience with the Central Bank of Iraq's regulations and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of SWIFT message types (MT and MX), SWIFT Net Link, and Alliance Gateway.
- Familiarity with SWIFT security protocols and the Customer Security programmer (CSP).
- Experience in managing inward and outward transfers.
- Ability to monitor and address correspondent banks' requirements and queries promptly.
