BloomCorner, is looking for a Finance Coordinator to join the team and will play a vital role in supporting financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, and maintaining up-to-date financial records. The Finance Coordinator will collaborate closely with the finance team to assist with various financial tasks and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accurately input financial data into the accounting system, including invoices, expenses, and payments.
- Maintain and update financial records and ledgers to ensure accurate and organized documentation.
- Assist in processing and tracking vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments and adherence to payment terms.
- Support accounts receivable activities, including issuing customer invoices and monitoring payment receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in preparing bank deposits and monitoring cash balances.
- Monitor and track employee expense reports, verifying receipts and adherence to expense policies.
- Prepare periodic expense reports for management review.
- Assist in generating financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide support in analyzing financial data and identifying trends or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support budget planning and forecasting processes.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in administrative tasks related to the finance department, such as filing, organizing financial documents, and handling correspondence.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial and employee data.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the nature of the post and as requested by the line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ work experience required.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing in English and Kurdish is required, Arabic is advantageous.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Ability to manage and prioritize own tasks.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality at all times.
