Key Responsibilities:
- Review accounting entries and ensure their accuracy in accounting and administrative terms.
- Prepare monthly closing entries for accrued expenses.
- Audit all settlements for banks and local suppliers.
- Ensure that all expenses are entered into the accounting system, audited and transferred.
- Provide the financial manager with an analysis of data and financial transactions and an analysis of forecasts.
- Prepare the monthly financial reporting package.
- Process invoices in accordance with standard procedures set out in the standard AP Work Instruction as well as in the agreed-upon country specific guidelines.
- Ensure that all inputs are correct prior to completion or posting of invoices to avoid re-work.
- Prepare payment request and ensure all invoices are approved and supported.
- Track expenses and budget vs actual reports.
- Have enough knowledge on withholding taxes, VAT and other tax related codes and transaction codes necessary to process the invoice correctly or respond to vendor inquiries.
- Understand and operate effectively applicable business controls.
- Investigate queries raised by stakeholders.
- Review and reconcile AP ledger.
- Respond to vendor inquiries in a polite and helpful manner.
- Ensure delivery within agreed global and local performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in assigned and related tasks.
Qualifications:
- Language requirement – English, Arabic.
- Min 5 years of experience in a relevant accounting environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. (preferred CPA or CMA)
- Experience in PSC accounting
- Possess Financial Accounting knowledge.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Good in problem solving and have critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics, Sage, SAP, or similar).
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
