Civil Engineer (Site Supervisor)

Summary:

The job of the Civil engineer is a fulltime, salaried position that will oversee the needs of Dar Al Kurd projects in the Kurdistan region. We are looking for an experienced or ambitious Civil engineer who will be responsible for the following essential functions; prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects utilizing related software applications and engineering software programs. Also assisting in field investigations and studies and the preparation of preliminary and final plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of construction and maintenance engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects 

• Consider construction costs, potential environmental hazards, and other factors in planning stages and risk analysis

• Perform or oversee soil testing to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations

• Test building materials, such as concrete, asphalt, or steel, for use in particular projects

• Provide cost estimates for materials, equipment, or labor to determine a project’s economic feasibility

• Perform or oversee, surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction

• Contributing to bid proposals, environmental impact statements

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher* 

• At least 2-4 years of experience in construction and project management

• Ability to use different software programs such as Auto CAD, P6, etc.

• Excellent multilingual is required (English, Arabic and Kurdish-Speaking and writing)
