The Mechanical / Cooling Lead will be responsible for supervising and overseeing all mechanical and cooling works within the T964 Data Center project from the owner’s side. The role covers installation supervision, testing and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and project requirements. The position also includes supporting the transition into facility operations to ensure reliable and efficient cooling system performance during both project execution and operational phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all mechanical and cooling works on-site from the T964 owner’s side.
- Oversee CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water systems, pumps, piping networks, valves, drainage systems, HVAC, ventilation, leak detection, and all cooling support systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.
- Coordinate mechanical interfaces with electrical systems, ICT rooms, fire protection systems, BMS/DCIM platforms, and civil works.
- Attend and witness mechanical testing activities including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, SAT, and integrated systems testing.
- Monitor and track mechanical punch lists, NCRs, pending works, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
- Review and validate mechanical test reports, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and handover documentation.
- Support the preparation of mechanical SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for operational readiness.
- Participate in the initial operational phase by monitoring cooling systems and supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Minimum Requirements

| Education | Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or Building Services Engineering |
| Experience | 7–10 years of experience in mechanical construction, HVAC systems, testing & commissioning, or facility operations |
| Preferred Experience | Data centers, telecom facilities, hospitals, airports, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical HVAC environments |
| Technical Knowledge | Strong knowledge of CRAH/CRAC units, chilled water systems, pumps, valves, piping, drainage systems, HVAC, leak detection systems, cooling redundancy concepts, and temperature/humidity control |
| Software / Tools | AutoCAD, MS Office, and reporting tools; Revit/BIM experience is an advantage |
| Certifications (Preferred) | HVAC training, testing & commissioning (T&C) certifications, OSHA/HSE certifications, and manufacturer training for cooling systems (CRAH/CRAC) |
| Languages | Arabic is required; English is preferred for technical documentation, reporting, and vendor communication |
| Key Skills | Site supervision, system troubleshooting, commissioning witnessing, coordination, reporting, and maintenance planning |
