Job role:
The Sales manager oversees the sales operations in the organization. Their main duties include, but are not limited to, designing plans to meet sales targets, developing, and cultivating relationships with clients, evaluating costs to determine their products’ pricing when selling to customers, and supporting cross-departmental workflow.
A detailed description of MAIN tasks and KEY responsibilities:
• Identifying opportunities to expand business through mergers, partnerships, and new markets
• Constantly monitoring progress, quality, and costs
• Developing and implementing commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate growth
• Conducting market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities
• Understanding the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are being met
• Act to acquire new customers and manage client relationships (new and existing)
• Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.)
• Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
• Monitor the performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
• Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring
• Track, measure, and analyze commercial metrics using KPIs
• Owning and hitting/exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
• Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
Education & Work Experience (Preferred background)
• Previous experience in Sales for at least 10 years
• Previous experience working in telecoms or in the tech industry
• Proven experience as a manager or Director within Sales or Commercial
• Experience in Client Relationship Management
• A university degree in business administration, IT, Finance, or a relevant field
Skills/Qualifications:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great organizational skills
• Write and speak English, Arabic, and Central Kurdish fluently
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and similar software
• Flexible and able to work outside normal office hours
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good understanding of IT Solutions, software, and IoT hardware
• In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
• Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
• Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
• Confident with great negotiation skills
