- Plan, implement, and manage daily kitchen operations
- Schedule kitchen staff as per operational requirements
- Hire, fire, and train kitchen staff as needed
- Implement and maintain a plan for kitchen equipment maintenance and submit requests to Operations Manager
- Ensure a safe working environment and attitude on the part of all employees in areas of their respective responsibility
- Prepare menus and the required quantities of products for daily demand
- Research and suggest new menu items based on external research, internal discussions, and customer suggestions
- Develop new recipes and products for seasonal and planned releases of new products
- Create an annual and regular schedule for new product releases and discontinuation of low performing products
- Understand customer preferences and make suggestions based on findings
- Conduct sales analyses to understand customer demand on menu selection and adjust and recommend the development of new products and the removal of unsuccessful items
- Decorate pastries using different icing, toppings, and flavors to be both delicious and visually appealing
- Monitor supplies and ingredients necessary for daily operations
- Approve the requisition of products and other necessary food supplies in coordination with necessary parties
