Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To safely and efficiently operate forklifts and material-handling equipment for loading, unloading, transporting, and storing materials while supporting site logistics and ensuring compliance with company QHSE, IMS, and ISO/API standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
  • Load, unload, transport, and stack materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily pre-use inspections and basic preventive maintenance of assigned equipment.
  • Ensure loads are handled within rated capacities and properly secured during movement.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and site personnel to support operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, material movements, and load handling activities.
  • Report equipment defects, hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and emergency response activities.

Authority

  • Stop any material-handling activity that presents a safety, environmental, or operational risk.
  • Direct helpers and ground personnel during loading and unloading operations.
  • Remove equipment from service if defects affect safe operation and report for maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Forklift Operator License/Certification.
  • Certifications in H2S Awareness, Fire Fighting, Defensive Driving, Manual Handling, and Hazard Recognition.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of forklift operating experience, preferably in oil & gas, drilling, logistics, or heavy industry.
  • Basic English communication skills; Arabic preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of forklift operations, load handling, and warehouse safety practices.
