 Financial Affairs Manager

This Position will be responsible for the whole finance and accounting activities of First Quantum Capital - Erbil and its subsidiaries. This position requires a hands-on attitude with a leadership approach. The candidate will be in charge of the daily business. Experiences in Construction, Facility Management, Production, and Service industries especially in Turkey are preferable. Candidates from outside Iraq with former experiences in similar positions will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing monthly closing processes and preparing solo financial statements in accordance with appropriate accounting standards (IFRS and local reporting standards). 
• Reporting to the Holding Financial Affairs Management on a timely basis for the predefined management reports. 
• Monitoring and supervising the full accounting processes. 
• Ensuring that regulatory tax declaration processes are carried out in accordance with the regulations based on the laws. 
• Performing financial analysis on financial statements and reporting to the C-level in a timely manner. 
• Following the budget and forecast processes of the related companies. 
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis based on the specific requests of C-Level. 
• Managing the daily cash flow of the company.
• Designing and maintaining appropriate systems and processes for effective accounting control in order to present the reports correctly. 
• Leading process improvement and automation projects (ERP) focused on Accounting to improve reporting processes.
• Advising business unit leaders to set up accounting processes for new business initiatives.
• Ensure and review accounting standards and statutory requirements apply properly.
• Liaise with other parties such as bankers, auditors, and government representatives for the submission of reports and or requirements.
• Managing the accounting team effectively without any problems. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics,
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in general Finance and Accounting
• Treasury and accounting knowledge,
• Experience in ERP systems; IFS Finance and Accounting Module knowledge is preferred,
• High attention to detail and accuracy,
• Positive thinking skills & good team player & eager to learn new things,
• Thinking broadly about business,
• Listening to different perspectives and showing flexibility,
• Building collaboration,
• Clear in communicating thoughts and ideas.
• Proficiency in English- both verbal and written, Kurdish, Turkish, and/or Arabic as additional languages for expat candidates are preferred.
