Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain the Group PMO framework, governance standards, and project management methodologies.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects across multiple subsidiaries.
  • Ensure alignment of all projects with Group strategy, priorities, and executive direction.
  • Develop and maintain project portfolios, roadmaps, timelines, and performance dashboards.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  • Standardize project reporting, documentation, and performance tracking across the organization.
  • Support business transformation initiatives, including restructuring, digital transformation, and process improvement projects.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination between departments, business units, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and capacity planning across projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices, tools, and governance models.
  • Support change management activities to ensure successful adoption of project outcomes.
  • Provide regular executive-level reporting and insights to senior leadership and steering committees.
  • Ensure compliance with project governance standards and internal control frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field; PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in project management or PMO leadership roles.
  • Strong experience within large and diversified groups of companies operating across multiple industries.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stream projects and enterprise-wide transformation programs.
  • Experience working within structured governance environments and supporting organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the Iraqi market and business environment is preferred.
