Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Lead the development and monitoring of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve budgetary performance.

Bank Reconciliation:

Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements and resolve complex discrepancies.

Implement controls to enhance the accuracy of financial transactions.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze complex financial reports for management and regulatory authorities.

Ensure financial statements follow accounting principles.

Supervision and Training:

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and ensure adherence to best practices.

Audit Support:

Manage the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.

Respond to audit inquiries and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, banking regulations, and internal policies.

Stay informed about changes in financial regulations affecting the banking industry.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations.

Implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree.

Proven experience (2-5 years) as a Senior Accountant in a banking or financial institution.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Effective leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required.
