Job Description

  • Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform general administrative tasks and clerical duties, such as answering and directing phone calls; handling email, files, typing, meeting minutes, mailings, and deliveries; and coordinating meeting-room calendars and completion of simple forms.
2. Opens and routes incoming mail; distributes correspondence and other material to department staff/faculty.
3. Performs a variety of routine assignments as appropriate to the position; may operate a personal computer to draft basic correspondence, enter data, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials; types and mails form letters. 
4. Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment.
5. Establishes, maintains, processes, and/or updates filing system, contacts database, employee lists, and inventories, records, and/or other documents both manually and electronically.
6. May perform specialized services of a routine clerical/administrative nature and serves as the receptionist for the office, greeting visitors and applicants.
7. May schedule or assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and/or conferences, as appropriate to the position.
8. Order office supplies, stock supply stations, and ensure equipment is operable and distribute office supplies.
9. May run various routine errands, as required, for the unit/department.
10. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field.

-Minimum 1 year of experience as an office assistant or similar role. 

-Fluency in English and Arabic language is a must.
