Key Responsibilities

Cash Management & Monitoring

• Monitor daily cash movements and ensure proper recording of all cash transactions
• Perform regular cash and bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Track and report on cash positions to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations

General Ledger Management

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, complete, and properly documented
• Review and approve accounting entries made by the accounting team
• Ensure month-end and year-end closing entries are completed on time

Accounts Receivable & Payable

• Monitor AR and AP balances and ensure timely collection from customers and payment to suppliers
• Maintain and manage vendor and supplier accounts, including statement reconciliations
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve billing or payment disputes

Audit Coordination

• Act as the primary point of contact with external auditors
• Prepare and provide all required documentation and schedules during audit periods
• Ensure all records are audit-ready and compliant with local regulations

Team Supervision & Support

• Supervise, guide, and mentor the accounting department staff
• Review the work of junior accountants and ensure accuracy and compliance
• Support the team in resolving day-to-day accounting issues and building their capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is preferred
• Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role
• Strong and proven career background in lifestyle retail is a must
• Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP is required; ability to manage accounting modules, configure workflows, and troubleshoot within the system
• Proficiency in additional accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of local financial regulations and tax compliance
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
