Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drilling Operations Support:
   • Assist in making and breaking drill pipe connections during tripping operations.
   • Handle and guide drill pipes, casing, and other drilling equipment.
   • Operate and maintain tongs, slips, and other rig tools safely and efficiently.
   • Support the Driller , As.Driller,Florman in routine drilling activities.
2. Equipment and Rig Maintenance:
   • Perform daily checks and maintenance on rig equipment such as tools, machinery, and work areas.
   • Assist in lubricating, cleaning, and inspecting rig components to ensure operational efficiency.
   • Report any malfunctioning equipment to the Driller or Rig Mechanic.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   • Follow all company safety procedures and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
   • Participate in safety meetings, drills, and training sessions.
   • Identify and report potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
   • Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents.
4. Handling and Transporting Materials:
   • Assist in moving drilling supplies, tools, and equipment around the rig.
   • Secure and store materials properly to avoid damage or hazards.
   • Support casing, cementing, mud , etc. operations as required.
5. Emergency Response:
   • Be prepared to respond to emergency situations, including well control incidents and fire drills.
   • Assist in the implementation of emergency procedures under the direction of the Driller or Toolpusher.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.(preferred)
  • H2S Safety, First Aid, and Firefighting certifications (preferred).
• Experience:
  • Previous experience in Oil and Gas industries or mechanical role (preferred).
  • Experience in oilfield, construction, or heavy equipment operations is an advantage.
• Skills:
  • Strong physical endurance and ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of rig equipment and tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
  • Strong awareness of safety practices and hazard identification.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed on drilling rigs in remote locations, often under extreme weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and physically demanding tasks.
• Rotational shifts and extended work hours required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work long hours in physically demanding environments.
• Capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment (20 + kg).
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
