Purpose of the Role
To support drilling and workover operations by performing general labor duties, handling materials and equipment, maintaining housekeeping standards, and ensuring compliance with company QHSE, IMS, and ISO/API standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading, unloading, handling, and organizing materials, tools, drill pipe, casing, and other equipment.
- Support drilling operations, mud mixing, equipment preparation, and maintenance activities as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite, including rig floors, pipe racks, storage areas, and work zones.
- Conduct basic inspections of assigned tools, equipment, and safety gear, reporting defects or shortages.
- Participate in Toolbox Talks, safety meetings, emergency drills, and well control activities.
- Follow all PPE, JSA, PTW, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Report hazards, incidents, spills, unsafe conditions, and non-conforming materials immediately.
Authority
- Stop any unsafe work or activity that poses a risk to personnel, equipment, or the environment.
- Refuse work where safe procedures, proper instructions, or required tools are not available.
- Report hazards, incidents, and improvement opportunities directly to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications in H2S Awareness, Basic Fire Fighting, First Aid, Well Control Awareness, and Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in drilling, workover, or industrial operations.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in demanding field conditions.
- Basic English required; Arabic preferred.
