Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To assist the Driller in the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations, supervise the drilling crew, operate critical equipment, and ensure compliance with company QHSE, IMS, and ISO/API standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the Derrickman, Floorman, and Roustabouts.
• Operate and monitor drilling and well control equipment.
• Assist with BOP testing, safety drills, and well control activities.
• Maintain permits, safety documentation, maintenance records, and shift handovers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Authority

• Stop any unsafe work that poses a risk to personnel, equipment, or the environment.
• Direct and supervise drilling crew activities.
• Operate designated drilling equipment under the Driller's supervision.

Qualifications

• IWCF Well Control Certificate (Level 3), H2S Alive, First Aid, and Firefighting certifications.
• Minimum 5 years of drilling experience, including experience as a Derrickman.
• Strong knowledge of drilling operations and well control systems.
• English required; Arabic preferred.
