Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with AML laws and regulations, staying updated on changes to ensure continuous adherence.
• Contribute to the development, review, and enforcement of AML policies and procedures.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of the organization's AML program in alignment with regulatory standards.
• Assist in designing and delivering AML training programs to enhance staff awareness and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities to address AML concerns effectively.
• Participate in regular risk assessments to identify potential AML risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct thorough investigations into suspicious activities, transactions, and customer profiles, reporting findings promptly.
• Assist in preparing and submitting accurate and timely AML reports to relevant stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and contribute to the integration of AML tools for enhanced monitoring and reporting.
• Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the AML Manager, 
• providing leadership and guidance to the AML team.
• Oversee transaction monitoring processes to identify and investigate unusual patterns or high-risk activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Law, or a related field, master’s degree and relevant certifications are highly desirable.
• 7-5 years of experience in AML compliance roles within the banking industry
• Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or equivalent certification is highly desirable. 
• In-depth understanding of AML laws, regulations, and industry best practices. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective AML risk assessments and investigations. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey AML concepts and findings clearly.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to deputize effectively and guide the AML team.
