Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Lawyer to join our growing legal team in Erbil. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal advisor across a range of commercial and regulatory matters, working directly with senior management and clients to deliver sound legal counsel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the lawyers team and follow up on execution, planning role, PR and client acquisition, make the first points  
• Support the onboarding of new clients by conducting due diligence and KYC (Know Your Client) checks 
• Advise senior management on legal strategy, compliance, and risk management 
•  Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, joint venture agreements, and service contracts 
•  Ensure full compliance with KRG and Iraqi laws and regulatory requirements 
•  Meet with clients, prepare legal proposals, and actively represent the firm in legal matters 
• Conduct legal research and provide well-reasoned opinions on complex regulatory and commercial issues 
• Monitor changes in Iraqi and KRG legislation and proactively advise the firm on potential legal impact 
•  Maintain and organize the firm's legal documentation, filing systems, and contract records 
•  Handle dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation proceedings when required

• Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external counsel on behalf of the firm - Protect the fi rm's legal interests in all business transactions and commercial partnerships

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (Iraqi or internationally accredited) 
• Minimum 5–7 years of professional legal and corporate law 
•  Strong knowledge of Iraqi Companies Law, Kurdistan Investment Law, and Labor Law 
•  Fluency in Kurdish and Arabic required; English is a plus 
• Excellent, negotiation, contract drafting, Management and communication skills 
• Solid understanding of Iraq's commercial legal systems
