Job Description

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and manage the financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Supervise daily business operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal reporting policies.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and coordinate with department heads to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Identify and explain key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Establish, monitor, and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to maintain financial stability.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize financing structures.
  • Oversee investment and debt management activities.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management and the board.
  • Support business growth initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects.
  • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Supervise and mentor finance team members, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
  • Promote continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
  • Foster collaboration between finance and other business units.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial systems and ERP solutions.
  • Streamline accounting procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives in financial management.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee insurance coverage and other risk management activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Must be a Baghdad resident.
