Dar Kurd Group is looking to hire a talented and ambitious candidate to its team in the following department:

Architect/Interior Designer 

Job purpose:

The job of the interior designer is a fulltime, salaried position that will oversee the needs of Dar Kurd projects in the Kurdistan region. We are looking for an experienced and ambitious interior designer who will be responsible for the following tasks; preparing plans, developing designs, surveying sites, and estimating costs for construction projects utilizing related software applications and engineering software programs. 

Job duties and responsibilities

• Receive project requests or draft designs
• Meet customers and defines the project requirements
• Take location measurement / site survey
• Utilize necessary physical and digital tools to create initial drafts
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure accuracy of early design work
• Finalize drafting projects using both 2D and 3D sketching and BOQ
• Revisit designs and make adjustments to designs as needed and follow up with the site engineer
• communicate with various departments to coordinate project details
• preparing as-built documents, detailed drawings/material list/staff allocation/schedule after finalizing design.
• Supervision of interior projects, and keeping track of construction process and communication with construction staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture/interior design.
• A minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in programs such as AutoCAD, one 3D modeling and rendering software (3DS MAX, Sketchup, V-ray, Lumion, etc.), and photoshop is a requirement. (Proficiency in Revit is a bonus)
• Outstanding analytical and time management skills.
• Proficiency in two of the following languages is required; Kurdish, Arabic or English.
• Detail-oriented and negotiation skills
• Knowledge in construction and design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced MS Office.
